Slipmat Music API

The Slipmat Music API is a collection of easy to use APIs for querying artists, releases and recordings across multiple providers, including Discogs, MusicBrainz, Spotify, Apple Music, Deezer and YouTube Music. It connects matching music and listening links across services.

We use these same APIs to power FlashBot, Song Requests metadata and chat music link previews.

The API can:

  • Find artists, with names, aliases, biographies, countries, genres, images and catalogue links.
  • Find releases, with titles, artist credits, release dates and cover art.
  • Find recordings, with titles, artist credits, durations and recording identifiers.
  • Match releases across catalogues and playlist tracks to recordings.
  • Find links to the same music on different services, as in the Music Link Converter.
