Crew

An artist profile is made of memberships, so one profile can be one person or a full crew.

A new artist profile has one member: you. If you perform as a group, or other people help you run your events, add them as members. One person can be a member of more than one artist profile, so you do not need more accounts to work on different projects.

Each member has a role that sets what they can do:

  • Owner: full control, including profile settings and members.
  • Member: can manage events and moderate chat.
  • Roadie: can moderate chat during events.

The roles are made of four separate permissions:

  • Moderate chat: mute, kick and ban people in the artist chat and in event chats.
  • Manage events: create, schedule and run events.
  • Post as the artist: your chat messages show as the artist, not as you.
  • Manage the artist: change profile settings, and add or remove members.

Each member with the Manage events permission gets their own stream key and can go live. When you turn that permission off, their stream key stops working.

When a member has the post as the artist permission, their chat messages show as the artist. Use it for announcements and official replies. Your private crew channel is different: there, your messages always show as you.

Each artist has a private crew channel. It is a chat only for owners, members and roadies, and for the collaborators who help with an event. It is separate from your public artist chat and from event chats. Your team can talk there out of public view.
