Technical Hold
Live streaming music can be a technical challenge. Slipmat has a built-in “give us a minute” feature we call Technical Hold. It allows you to click one button that sets the whole live page into a mode where everyone understands that “there’s a technical issue that is being worked on and you don’t have to bug the artist about it”. It’s designed to make your life easier, help you focus on the problem solving, and give you an easy way to communicate to the listeners.
No automatic actions will take place when the technical hold is on, so you don’t need to worry that a disconnected stream gets autoclosed or anything like that. Just work the issue and when you’re done, turn off the hold and continue the event.
- Set and end the hold in the Stream Dashboard.
- Force refresh in the Stream Dashboard is built for these situations too: it reloads the live page for everyone. When you end the hold, the page reloads for everyone automatically.
