Tips
Listeners can tip you with the Tip button on the live page and on your request page. So you can get tips at any event, not only at online livestreams.
How tips work
Section titled “How tips work”Slipmat uses Stripe to handle all payments. Stripe is one of the world’s largest and safest payment companies, trusted by millions of businesses.
- Tips go straight to you. Each tip goes to your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays it to your bank.
- Slipmat never sees card details. Listeners pay through Stripe.
- Amounts: a tip can be anything from about 2 USD to around 500 USD. Listeners can tip in each currency that Stripe accepts in your country.
- Fees: Slipmat v3 has no subscription tiers yet, so for now we take a fixed 20% cut of your tips to help keep the lights on. We’ll soon introduce subscription tiers that let us leave your tips untouched. Stripe also takes a small processing fee from every transaction. (Situation in October 2026.)
